The role ITV News Channel TV is offering the opportunity for a talented journalist to join the team based in Jersey on a permanent staff contract. This is a high profile, on-screen role for someone with a proven track record for delivering impactful, high-quality, distinctive journalism on television, online and on social media. As an established self-starter, you will immerse yourself in the community, ensure our newsgathering reflects the different communities that make up our audience and develop great contacts to deliver agenda-setting coverage across the Channel Islands. This is a busy news patch with different government systems in the islands. You must be a self-starter with an excellent work ethic who regularly contributes original ideas. We will expect you to be willing and enthusiastic about developing your camera and editing skills to complement your newsgathering and story-telling. Alongside your first-class communication and team working skills, experience of self-shooting, laptop editing and live reporting is desirable. You will also have proven experience of using social media to extend the reach of your journalism.
