Our Organisation
The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England. We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grass roots through to the professional game, The FA Cup and the England International teams, and has two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park.

The Role
The FA is launching an ‘over-the-top' content service for the first time. Delivered through web and app, the service will initially focus on live and VOD content from the FA WSL and our other Women's football properties. With this new role, we are looking for a digital product manager to manage the delivery of the platform, drive its growth, optimise the content offering and maximise the wider benefits to The FA and wider stakeholders from within the Women's game.

Key Accountabilites
Leading the day to day delivery of our direct to consumer content service, the role will involve product management, tracking of KPIs and the liaising with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. Key to the success of the role will be optimising the service from the interpreting of detailed analytics into actionable insight and driving the required changes.

Accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Account manage the platform's technical provider and ensure all contractual elements are delivered
  • Oversee plan across broadcast and content published across FA Player week to week
  • Ensure relevant and timely reporting and communication with all internal and external stakeholders, including FA management, Clubs, production partners, broadcast and commercial partners
  • Work with our marketing team to drive growth in user awareness, registration and consumption
  • Work with our digital technology team around product development and integration
  • Strategically plan functionality roadmap in line with related industry standards and audience expectations
  • Monitor trends and competitor activity to help influence both short term tactics and long term direction
  • Budget management
  • Analyse weekly audience consumption data across all live and VOD output, leading to informed insight and content optimisation
  • Work with wider broadcast team on ensuring our rights portfolio is optimised alongside linear distribution
  • Help shape the long term strategy of the platform including content, monetisation and commercial partner integration plans
  • Explore how the platform can benefit wider FA objectives, such as participation and driving ticket sales
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.


What we are looking for
Essential
  • 2-3 years OTT product experience, either via a rights-holder product, a technical provider or broadcaster
  • In depth experience of digital media and technology
  • Understanding of content consumption through digital platforms
  • Project management and product development
  • Ability to create presentations and present to a wide range of key stakeholders
  • Advanced Microsoft Office
Desirable
  • Ideally, experience with delivering an OTT platform would be Sport specific, but this is not essential
  • Sports rights landscape understanding preferred
  • Digital broadcast workflows
  • Registration journeys
  • Understanding of actionable analytics
  • Understanding of CRM
