We are looking for a Senior News Editor to run the day to day operation of our breaking news News desk. As the ideal candidate you will have strong editorial judgment and knowledge of News affairs based on extensive journalistic experience and a thorough understanding of the processes and principles of Journalism. You will have strong communication and inter-personal skills along with the ability to make sound editorial decisions under pressure to identify, priorities and interpret the key stories of the day. Working closely with our Bureau’s and other teams you will be responsible for ensuring stories are delivered first - both on air and on the website to the highest editorial standards. You will be the key point of contact for the news gathering teams, Editors and Reporters, ensuring all requirements are met for the teams in the field. |
