A GECF Summit brings together heads of state and government from Gas Exporting Countries Forum member nations to exchange perspectives.
The Summit provides Member Countries with an opportunity to debate current trends, policies, and advances in the energy sector generally and gas specifically, as well as to reaffirm at the highest level their continuous support for the Forum’s goals. Additionally, delegates from the forum's member nations will attend an extraordinary ministerial meeting. The forum will sign agreements with East Asian nations as well as the African Union's subsidiary, the African Energy Commission (AFREC), and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA).
