The South Carolina Republican primary will see Nikki Haley challenging Donald Trump on her home turf. The former president is turning to his familiar playbook of personal attacks as he tries to quash his last major rival for the nomination.

Trump's former UN Ambassador has barnstormed across the state in the closing days ahead of the Feb. 24 primary, aiming to cut into the former president's popularity in the state.

Trump, who has long been the front-runner in the GOP presidential race, won three states in a row and is looking to use South Carolina to close out Haley’s chances and turn his focus fully on an expected rematch with Biden in the general election.
