The 19th Heads of State and Government Summit of the Group of 20 (G20) will take place in November 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 2024 Summit’s theme is ‘Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet. The Summit will be attended by 19 member countries, plus the African Union (AU) and the EU. The 19 countries are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, the Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, the UK, and the US.

G20 SUMMIT
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil | Nov. 18-19, 2024

Brazil will host the G20 Leaders' Summit this year, scheduled for November 18 and 19 in Rio de Janeiro. The leaders of the 19 member countries, plus the African Union and the European Union are expected to attend.

The group represents two-thirds of the world’s population and about 85 percent of global GDP.

The issue of inequality is a priority for Brazil in its G20 presidency, along with the reduction of hunger, the promotion of sustainable development and reforms of global governance. The last G20 summit in New Delhi controversially concluded with a declaration that did not condemn Russia for its war in Ukraine.
