Russia is gearing up for its eighth presidential election, scheduled from March 15–17, 2024. If no candidate secures over fifty percent of the vote, a runoff will be held three weeks later, on April 7, 2024. The newly elected president is anticipated to assume office on May 7, 2024. Fifteen individuals have submitted their candidacy paperwork to the Central Election Commission.

2024 RUSSIAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
MOSCOW, RUSSIA
Presidential elections in Russia will be held on 15–17 March 2024. They will be the eighth presidential election in the country. If no candidate receives more than half the vote, a second round will take place exactly three weeks later, on 7 April 2024. The winner of the election is scheduled to be inaugurated on 7 May 2024.
