IMF team to visit Pakistan on January 31, 2023
A team of International Monetary Fund is scheduled to visit Islamabad from January 31st to February 9th, 2023 after Pakistan assured the United States that it remained committed to the IMF programme. The in-person Fund mission will continue the discussions under the stalled 9th review of Pakistan’s current funding programme.
The 9th review of the programme is currently pending however, the government had talked to the IMF officials for the release of $1.8 billion.
