Pakistani senior journalist shot dead in Kenya

A senior Pakistani journalist was shot dead by the Kenyan police when the car sped up instead of stopping at a roadblock near Nairobi. Nairobi police says Pakistani journalist killed as a result of mistaken identity.

Arshad Sharif, a known Pakistani anchor-person and senior journalist, 49, left Pakistan in July to avoid arrest over criticizing the government of Pakistan and the military. He was living in hiding abroad but he continued to speak the truth on social media, exposing the truth.
Furthermore, Sharif had been facilitating in the making of an international documentary which exposes the corruption of elite political families in Pakistan hiding in Kenya.
The government of Pakistan has asked for a fair and transport investigation into the journalist’s killing.

The remains of late Arshad Sharif are being repatriated from Nairobi tonight at Islamabad International Airport at 1:05 tonight.
