On October 16th a protest march is organized in Paris by the political movement of the hard-left France Unbowed party “against the high cost of living and climate inaction".

The protest comes as Macron faces stiff resistance from unions over a planned pensions reform and as strikes by workers demanding a pay rise from refineries to nuclear plants and transports are in place.

The event will be key to understand how much support strikers and opposition to Macron government have on the street.
