A few days ago, Iraq witnessed unrest, protests and sit-ins in which partisan entities and powerful personalities vying for power, and the movement of the street to dominate the country's political system, affected the country.

The conflict escalated between the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr and his rivals in the Shiite coordination, with his supporters storming the parliament and starting an open sit-in and raising his demands for a radical change of the political system, the constitution and the electoral law. On the other hand, these demands were rejected and considered as "a harbinger of a suspicious coup" amid fears of confrontations between supporters of the two parties in the street.
