Biden Visits Middle East
Various Locations | July 13-16, 2022

U.S. President Joe Biden makes his first trip in office to the Middle East from July 13-16.

Biden's first stop will be in Jerusalem for a long-planned visit with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid in Jerusalem. He will then meet Palestinian Authority leaders, including President Mahmoud Abbas, in the West Bank.

Biden will cap the whirlwind trip with a visit to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for a meeting of Gulf Cooperation Council leaders.

In talks with King Salman and the crown prince, Biden is looking to reset ties with Saudi Arabia at a time when the U.S. could use help from the oil-rich kingdom to alleviate soaring prices at the pump for motorists at home and around the globe.
