Joe Biden and Olaf Scholz meeting

WASHINGTON, D.C., UNITED STATES

US President Joe Biden will host German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the White House on 7 February. The two leaders are expected to discuss tensions between Russia and Ukraine, the COVID-19 pandemic and other areas of mutual interest. Scholz and Biden are also likely to consult on possible sanctions against Russia if it invades Ukraine. This will be Chancellor Scholz's first visit to the White House.
