Pope Francis will visit Iraq in March.

Visiting schedule:

Friday 5th of March 2021:
Baghdad.
-Arrival to Baghdad International Airport.
-An official welcome at Baghdad International Airport.
-The meeting with the Prime Minister in the VIP lounge at Baghdad International Airport.
-Official welcoming ceremonies at the presidential palace in Baghdad.
-The visit of the President of the Republic in his private office at his headquarters in Baghdad.
-The meeting with government authorities, civil society and diplomats in the great hall of the presidential headquarters in Baghdad.
-Meeting with bishops, priests, monks and nuns, seminarians and teachers of catechesis in the Syriac Catholic Cathedral in Baghdad.

Saturday 6th of March 2021:
Baghdad- Najaf- Ur-Baghdad.
-Leaving Baghdad and arrival to Najaf airport.
-The visit of Ayatollah Al_Outhma Mr. Ali Sistani in Najaf.
-Leaving Najaf and arrival at Nasriah airport.
- Interfaith meeting in the city of Ur.
-Leaving Nasriah airport and arrival to Baghdad international airport.
-The ceremonial mass at the Chaldean Marquises Cathedral.

Sunday 7th of March 2021:
Baghdad- Erbil-Mosul-Qurat Qoush-Erbil-Baghdad.
-Leaving Baghdad and arrival to Erbil.
-Official reception by the official and civil authorities in the Kurdistan region of Iraq in the main terminal at Erbil airport.
-Departure by helicopter and arrival to Mosul.
-Prayers for the war victims in Hosh al_Baiaah (Church Square) in Mosul.
-Departure by helicopter and arrival to Qurat Qoush.
-The visit of Qurat Qoush peoples in Al_Thahirah Church.
-Return to Erbil.
-Angelus prayer.
-A ceremonial mass at the Francois Hariri Stadium in Erbil.
-Leaving Erbil and arrival to Baghdad.

Monday 8th of March 2021:
Baghdad.
- Farewell ceremony at Baghdad airport.
- Leaving Baghdad and arriving at Rome Fiumagino International Airport.
