U.S. AND CHINA TO SIGN TRADE DEAL
WASHINGTON DC & NEW YORK, USA | 15 JANUARY 2020

The United States and China are expected to sign a so-called “Phase 1” trade agreement at the White House on Wednesday. It is seen as an opening to future negotiations that will deal with more complicated trade issues between the world’s largest economies.
Investors around the world are looking ahead to the signing of an initial trade deal between Washington and Beijing and the potential for future talks. Full details of the trade pact are due to be released after the agreement is signed at the White House on Wednesday.
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to tout billions of dollars' worth of agricultural purchases by China, in a nod to voters in Trump-friendly rural areas.
