DEMOCRATS VOTE TO SEND IMPEACHMENT TO SENATE
WASHINGTON DC, USA | 15 JANUARY 2020

After weeks of delay and strategizing, the U.S. House of Representatives is planning to vote Wednesday to send the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump to the Senate.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the House will also name the House managers for the case.

The vote will launch the Senate procedure, only the third presidential impeachment trial in American history. The trial is expected to happen during the Democratic primary season and to the backdrop of a politically divided nation.
