Carlos Ghosn Lebanon

BEIRUT, LEBANON

The Japanese authorities have issued a "red notice" through Interpol requesting the arrest of former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn, who broke house arrest to flee Japan for Beirut. Lebanon does not have an extradition agreement with Japan. An investigation has also been opened in Turkey, where Mr Ghosn changed planes for his onward flight to Beirut. Ghosn said in a statement on Thursday that he acted alone without his family's help.
