Canonization of Paul VI, Oscar Romero and others blessed/ Rome

ROME, ITALY

Pope Francis will declare Pope Paul VI and Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero Saints of the Catholic Church in a ceremony at the Vatican on October 14. They will be elevated to Sainthood along with four other Italian priests, Francesco Spinelli and Vincenzo Romano, and German and Spanish founders of two women’s religious orders, Maria Caterina Kasper and Nazaria Ignazia.
