The White House says President Donald Trump has accepted House Speaker Paul Ryan's invitation to address a joint session of Congress on 30 January 2018.
It will be President Trump's first State of the Union address where he will lay out his agenda for his second year in office.
Several House Democrats plan to bring sexual assault survivors as guests and members are encouraged to wear black in a show of solidarity for victims of sexual assault and harassment.

JANUARY 30TH-31ST, 2018
President Trump will deliver his first State of the Union Speech on Tuesday, January 30th. Trump will deliver the speech as a historically unpopular figure with approval ratings well below other Presidents at this stage in their term. The President is likely to focus on the recently-passed tax reform bill and the state of the US economy. Immigration is another contentious issue, with President Trump fighting to have Congress fund his proposed border wall in exchange for protecting 700,000 undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as children.
