The event commemorating the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz will take place on 27th of January 2018, on the premises of the Auschwitz Memorial. The President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda has assumed honorary patronage of the anniversary. The 27th of January is also the International Holocaust Victims Remembrance Day.

Program:
14:00 GMT – Press Conference: presentation of Auschwitz Survivors testimonies at ChroniclesofTerror.pl (Witold Pilecki Center for Totalitarian Studies)

15:30 GMT – opening of the temporary exhibition “Letters... Collections of Władysław Rath” - Block 12 of the former Auschwitz I camp (invited guests)

17:30 GMT – main commemoration event in the building so-called “Sauna” on the premises of the former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp

19:00 GMT – commemoration ceremony – prayer and paying tribute at the Monument to the Victims on the premises of former Auschwitz II-Birkenau
