CHILEAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
SANTIAGO, CHILE | 19-20 NOVEMBER 2017

Chileans are headed to the ballot box Sunday, November 19th, to elect a new President.

According to the latest polls, Sebastian Pinera the former president of the centre-right will win the first round with 44.4%, followed by Alejandro Guillier journalist-turned senator from the ruling coalition with 19.7% of the votes.

The outcome will be watched closely in Latin America, where voters in countries like Peru, Brazil and Argentina have shifted right in recent elections.

The Associated Press will provide live stand-up positions at the following locations:

SUNDAY 19 NOVEMBER - ELECTION DAY
- National Stadium (during the day – location of poll center)
- Chilean Electoral Office Press Center (after polls close)

MONDAY 20 NOVEMBER – DAY AFTER ELECTION DAY
- La Moneda Palace

Media accreditation is necessary to access the Chilean Electoral Office Press Center.
