On March 30th teachers all over Poland will go on strike. Parents were asked to not to send kids to schools on that day as in many cases almost all staff will not be working. "It's not a general strike. Ever school worker will decide if he or she will work on that day or not", said the representant of teachers' trade union.ZNP. Teachers are protesting against the education reforme proposed by the ruling conservative Law and Justice party. The reform are to get underway in the autumn of 2017 and will include extending primary education from six to eight years and extending the time spent in high schools and vocational schools to four and five years respectively.
