On January 28-29 the museum is organizing open days to show the main exhibition to the visitors. Only two thousand people will have a chance to see it as the date of the official opening is still unknown.

The museum tells the story of World War II by including all the nations involved in the conflict, with a particular focus on civilian suffering instead of military campaigns. According to the government the museum does not present “Polish point of view”. That is why the Minister Of Culture and National Heritage wants the exhibition to be changed. On Tuesday a Polish court has ruled the governing Law and Justice Party can take control of the museum, paving the way for a new exhibition.

The main exhibition covers over 5.000 m² with around 2.000 exhibits shown on it. It is the result of many years of work that has been conducted by the team of historians from the Museum of the Second World War.
