A gunman dressed as Father Christmas opened fire overnight in a nightclub in Istanbul killing at least 39 and injuring about 60 people.
The club, called Reina and overlooking the Bosphorus is one of Istanbul's most popular and was crowded with locals and foreigners who were celebrating New Year. The gunman managed to escape and is being chased by the police.
