EU and Canada leaders will sign the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) at the summit. 
Donald Tusk, President of the European Council and Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission will represent the EU at the summit. Canada will be represented by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

EU and Canada leaders will sign the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) at the EU-Canada summit on Sunday 30th October in Brussels, Belgium.

CETA will remove over 99% of tariffs that currently hinder trade between the EU and Canada. It is expected to increase bilateral trade by €12 billion per year, and to generate growth and new jobs on both sides of the Atlantic. The summit will also take note of the decision for visa-free travel for all EU citizens to Canada.

The EU will be represented by Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, and by JeanClaude Juncker, President of the European Commission. Canada will be represented by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Prime Minister Robert Fico, of the Slovak EU presidency, the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, the EU High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and the European Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmstrom are also expected to participate. On the Canadian side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dion and the Minister of International Trade, Chrystia Freeland are expected to attend

The EU-Canada Summit will take place in the Justus Lipsius building in Brussels. The Summit will start at around 10.30 AM local time and the press conference will be around noon.
