BRUSSELS | BELGIUM, 18 OCTOBER

The Cooperation Council will discuss the EU-Iraq bilateral relations and in particular the progress in the implementation of the partnership and cooperation agreement. It will also discuss the EU current and longer term assistance to Iraq. Participants will also have an exchange of views on domestic and regional political and security issues.

The meeting will be co-chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Federica Mogherini and Foreign Minister of Iraq Ibramim al-Jaafari. The Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Kurdistan Region, Falah Mustafa will also participate in the Cooperation Council meeting at the invitation of the Iraqi Foreign Minister.
