Former UK Prime Minister David Cameron is standing down as an MP, triggering a by-election in his seat of Witney. This comes after Cameron had resigned as Prime Minister after June’s Brexit vote, and said that he does not want to be a “distraction” for new Prime Minister Theresa May. He had initally said that he would continue as an MP until the next genral election.
