Air France flights have returned to near normal levels as the seven-day strike by air stewards draws to a close. The week-long strike has caused travel misery for tens of thousands of passengers during the height of the summer holiday season. The company reported a fall in profits during the second quarter of 2016, citing the deteriorating global situation. They also flagged worries about “France as a destination” following a spate of terror attacks across the country. Although the strikes are coming to an end, unions have raised the prospect of further industrial action as early as next week.
