A Russian helicopter has been shot down by rebels in Syria, after delivering aid to the city of Aleppo. Five people were on board, with at least four of them dead, the Russian Defense Ministry stated. It is not yet clear which group has brought the Mi-8 aircraft down. Russia is a key backer of Syrian President Assad, and is supporting government forces with air strikes against rebels.
