The 18-year-old gunman who shot dead nine people in Munich on Friday 22 July, and killing ten people, was a mentally troubled man. He had extensively researched rampage killings and had no apparent links to ISIS, German police stated.

Ten dead, at least 21 injured in the Munich shopping centre shooting.
The shooting took place around 6pm local time at the Olympia shopping mall. According to the police, the suspected gunman killed himself. He was an 18-year-old German-Iranian, and appeared to have acted alone, though his motive for the shooting is still unclear.
