French President François Hollande ruled out the organization of a referendum on the European Union in France. He stated that next year's presidential election will be the opportunity for french voters to decide on which European policy they want.
There had been growing calls in France for a referendum on the EU since the UK referendum last week. Many in France are increasingly getting disillusioned with Europe, which they see as not protective enough and too pro-market, making the outcome of such a referendum difficult to predict.
