The annual Berlin Marathon takes place throughout the streets of the German capital. The course starts at the Brandenburg Gate, heads through the city, past some of Berlin's notable landmarks such as the Reichstag and Berliner Dom and finishes at the Brandenburgh Gate. Over 40,000 people usually take part, and over one million are expected to spectate.
