ETN in Pakistan invests in IP systems for live studio broadcasts
Islamabad, March 2019: Eastern TV News (ETN) - a supplier of broadcast services throughout Pakistan - has this week introduced IP live transmissions from its studio in Islamabad. Similar IP systems will shortly be installed in the company's other studios.
Ali Kaifee, ETN's Director of Operations, said, "We are now using Quicklink and the TalkShow VS 100 product. It connects with Skype TX and is a hardware setup with low latency and can stream HD video."
He said that within a couple of weeks they will introduce the same cost-effective IP transmission system to their studios in Lahore and Karachi.
The Quicklink Skype TX - designed in partnership with the Microsoft Skype team - is a video call management system. It is a transceiver that enables professional reception and transmission of multiple Skype video calls through SDI inputs/outputs and HDMI interface.
ETN is a long-established provider of broadcast services in Pakistan having worked with broadcasters and news organisations for many decades. It supplies a full range of services including studios, SNG trucks, satellite space, camera crews and editing.
