EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
GEORGE SQUARE, GLASGOW, UNITED KINGDOM
01 - 12 AUGUST 2018

The Glasgow 2018 European Championships will take place for the first time between 2 and 12 August in Scotland, UK. Around 3'000 of Europe's best athletes will compete across 11 days in Aquatics, Cycling, Golf, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon for the status of European Champion. The European Athletics Championships will be held at the same time in Berlin, Germany.

Festival 2018 is the fun-filled cultural programme of the Glasgow 2018 European Championships. George Square, in Glasgow city-centre, will be buzzing with live music, circus, dance, theatre, visual art and more to celebrate sport from 01 - 12 August. The opening night on 01 Aug. will feature some of the famous names in Scottish music. On 07 Aug., Glasgow will meet Berlin thanks to a celebratory gala concert with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, and the Universität der Künste in Berlin. Through a live link, audiences in George Square Glasgow and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on the European Mile in Berlin will live the concerts in both cities on the stage and big screen.

EUROVISION European Championships will offer the following facilities at George Square in Glasgow for both Rights Holders (RH) and Non Rights-Holders (NRH):

• - Fully equipped Standup position for onsite recording or Live programme inserts overlooking George Square & Stage.
• - Bi-cam Studio upon request overlooking George Square & Stage (rate upon request).
• - Non-equipped Standup position for onsite recording or Live programme inserts overlooking George Square & Stage.
• - Connectivity to the Eurovision Global Network (Unilateral).
