MOSCOW, RUSSIA

Supporters of the late Russian opposition figure and Kremlin critic Boris Nemtsov are expected to march through Moscow on Saturday to mark the one-year anniversary of his murder.

Saturday's rally, which has been approved by Moscow City Hall, will take the demonstrators from Strastnoy Bulvar near the Chekhovskaya metro station to Prospekt Akademika Sakharova. The organizers of the march have invited participants to go to the location of Nemtsov's murder on the Bolshoy Moskvoretskiy Bridge near the Kremlin after the march to leave flowers. Nemtsov was shot four times in the back by an attacker in a car on 27 February 2015.

Five suspects, including the alleged murderer Zaur Dadayev, have since been arrested over the killing. Ruslan Mukhutdinov, who the investigation suspects is the mastermind behind the murder, is currently on the international wanted list.
