The Paris Air Show, or the Salon international de l'aéronautique et de l'espace, takes place.
The world's oldest and largest air show, it is organised by the French aerospace industry's primary representative body, the Groupement des industries françaises aéronautiques et spatiales (GIFAS), and is a large commercial event, with a major purpose being to demonstrate military and civilian aircraft to potential customers.

The 51st show of the Paris airshow will be held at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions between 15 to 21 June 2015.
Created in 1909, the international Paris Air Show at Le Bourget continues to be recognised as the world's leading aviation and space industry event . Once again it will bring together all the players in this global industry around the latest technological innovations. The first four days of the Show will be reserved for trade visitors, followed by three days open to the general public. .
