The Republican National Convention is taking place in Cleveland, 18-21 July, 2016.Delegates will choose the party's nominees for president and vice president of the United States.

To aid your coverage, The Associated Press will provide extensive broadcast facilities during the convention.


LIVE POSITIONS INSIDE THE QUICKEN LOANS ARENA
The live positions will be located inside the Quicken Loans Arena, the venue of Republican convention in downtown Cleveland
• SkyBox-level stand-up positions, overlooking the convention floor
• SkyBox-level multi-camera switched positions to anchor news bulletins
• Convention floor-level standup positions, right next to the delegates
• Live shots using a wireless camera roaming the convention floor

LIVE POSITION ON MEDIA ROW AT THE QUICKEN LOANS ARENA
The live position will be located at the Quicken Loans Arena, on Level 2
• Manned & fully equipped live broadcast position on Media Row using SKYPE TX transmission.

WORKSPACE
The media workspace for all news organizations will be located at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. The RNC will make available secure shuttle service between the workspace and the site of the convention. The Associated Press will provide a comprehensive workspace set up at the Convention Center.:
• Workspace for up to 3 people (8 feet table, 3 chairs)
• Pool drop of the Convention proceedings (1080i 50 or 60)
• Access to AP video material
• Access to AP Election Wire and AP politics planner
• Editorial and production support from AP journalists & television producers
• Shared wi-fi internet
• Monitoring of the Convention coverage

ADDITIONAL LIVE LOCATION
Depending on affiliate interest, The Associated Press may deploy a satellite truck outside the secure perimeter so that journalists can cover live any possible public unrest. Please contact Washington to discuss your requirements.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION
Our accreditation deadline with the House Radio and TV Gallery is MAY 15th
As we have done in the past, AP Global Media Services will accredit your team under the AP umbrella for both political conventions. We will only credential broadcasters working with the AP and we will process your accreditation directly with the House Radio and TV Gallery on Capitol Hill.

The Associated Press will provide rotational floor passes for correspondents wanting to either record stand-ups or shoot a story on the Convention floor with the delegates.
