Eurovision News Events

Milan, Italy, 1 May 2015

Milan Expo 2015 hosted by Italy which opened on May 1, runs through to 31 October 2015.

The theme of the 6-month event is "Feeding the Planet, energy for Life."

The event brings together more than 140 nations and numerous international organisations in an attempt to address the challenges of ensuring safe and sufficient food and water for all, while respecting nature and its delicate balance.

The event is located in an area spanning nearly 270 acres, north west of Milan. Expo hosts country pavillions, restaurants, performances, concerts, workshops and exhibitions during the 6-month programme.

Eurovision Special Events, in cooperation with MH Eurovision Roma, will offer the following facilities for the duration of the EXPO 2015 (subject to availability at the time of booking):

1) Live Standup and playout facilities via mobile units from the national pavillions with IP connectivity to Eurovision's global network.

2) Tailor-made production and transmission facilities - On request.

Globecast

The 2015 Edition of EXPO is currently under way in Milan. Twenty millions of visitors are expected to visit the show whose theme is “ Feed the Planet in a Sustainable Way “.

More than 140 Countries are exhibiting in Milano with their National pavilions.

Globecast has joined forces with Eutelsat – an Official Partner of EXPO – to provide broadcasters with transmission services from the venue.

All signals from the official host broadcaster, RAI, will be transported via Globecast’s specially prepared network, to deliver broadcaster content from the venue.

Dates: Current > 31st October 2015.

Location: Milan EXPO Media Centre, Italy

Services: Global distribution on Eutelsat satellite fleet. Distribution includes fiber transport from Expo2015 to the Globecast Teleport, Mpeg 4, SD/HD, monitoring and control of customer traffic
