Schloss Elmau, Germany, 7-8 June 2015

On 7 and 8 June 2015 Germany will be hosting the G7 summit. Chancellor Angela Merkel has invited the heads of state and government of the G7 states to Schloss Elmau, south of Munich, where they will discuss the major global challenges within the framework of this informal group of leading industrial nations.

Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, the US and Canada together make up the G7. The European Commission is also represented at all meetings.

Following Russia’s violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the G7 heads of state and government decided not to attend the planned G8 summit in Sochi, and to suspend the G8. Instead, the G7 met for the first time since 1998 without Russia. Since then the G7 process has been continued.

EUROVISION Special Events will offer the following facilities onsite at the Media centre and near the summit venue:
