In view of the dramatic refugee crisis, Germany is to host an international conference. In an interview, Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has announced that he has invited more than 40 ministers of foreign affairs and representatives of international organisations to attend the conference in Berlin on 28 October.

The German Government will host a ministerial “Berlin Conference on the Syrian refugee situation – Supporting stability in the region”, together with UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres and other heads of UN-agencies, pending their confirmation.
The conference will take place at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin on 28 October 2014. The German Federal Foreign Office invited over 40 Foreign Ministers and Heads of International Organisations to the conference.
