It's going down to the wire for the vote that will determine who will be the next leader of Brazil, Latin America's biggest nation and the country that will host the 2016 Olympics.

President Dilma Rousseff and her top challenger, Marina Silva, former government minister, are deadlocked in polls.

General elections will be held in Brazil on 5 October 2014 to elect the President, the National Congress, state governors and state legislatures. If no candidate in the presidential and gubernatorial elections receives more than 50% of the vote, a second-round runoff will be held on 26 October.

Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil, 5-6 October 2014

The first round of the Brazilian Presidential election will take place on Sunday October 5th. President Dilma Rousseff is facing a strong challenge from Socialist Party candidate Marina Silva, a popular environmentalist who has promised to kickstart the country's economy. Rousseff has pledged to extend the social programmes which have lifted many Brazilians out of poverty during her term in office.

Eurovision Americas will offer live stand-up positions with the iconic view along Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday October 5th and Monday October 6th. XD Cam playouts available, other formats with customer's camera/deck. A liveshot position will also be available in São Paulo on Avenida Paulista.
