U.S. President Barack Obama will visit Estonia on 03 September 2014.

"In light of recent developments in Ukraine, the United States has taken steps to reassure allies in Central and Eastern Europe, and this trip is a chance to reaffirm our ironclad commitment to Article V as the foundation of NATO," National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said on 15 August 2014.

During his stop in Tallinn, Obama will discuss "collective defense" with the Presidents of Estonia - Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Lithuania - Dalia Grybauskaitė and Latvia - Andris Bērziņš, as the White House looks to reaffirm its commitment to defend NATO allies amid unrest in nearby Ukraine.
