Torun. Spanish singer Jose Carreras paid a visit to the hematology ward in Municipal Hospital in Torun. Carreras, who was going through leukemia over ten years ago, received "Hematology Angel" prize. This prize is awarded by the management of Foundation for Hematology and Leukemia of Sick People Society to the people with special merits for hematology.

 The Institute of the Textile Industry in Lodz have received the grant from the National Research Centre for the special project of scanning and measuring Poles in order to work out the new size table. The scientist from Lodz want to get to know the sizes of dozen or so citizens and work out data helpful in the clothes industry. The last research of that type took place in Poland in the 80's.
