The Associated Press seeks a video journalist to join our Health & Science team, based in any U.S. city with an AP bureau. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of covering breaking news and delivering character-driven, longer-term stories that will resonate with a general news audience. Responsibilities: Reporting to a Health & Science deputy editor, you will shoot, edit and produce spot news while pursuing off-the-news enterprise stories for AP’s broadcast, digital and mobile customers and platforms in both raw and packaged forms. You also will help repurpose video cuts for social platforms and digital presentations. You will work closely with reporters and visual journalists on the team and in other departments to generate compelling and distinctive video stories that are shareable. You will occasionally do live shots. As an AP journalist, you must have the ability and willingness to work at night and on weekends as coverage demands. |
