The Human Rights Council will hold a special session this Friday, 1 June, beginning at 11 am CET, to address the "deteriorating human rights situation in the Syrian Arab Republic and the killings in El-Houleh". The meeting will be held in Room XX at the Palais des Nations, Geneva and is open to the media.
The official request for the meeting was submitted by the Ambassadors of Qatar, Turkey, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Denmark, and the EU and supported by 51 States (21 members and 30 observers).
Representatives of the media will need to be accredited for the coverage of the session. Requests should be sent to accreditation-media@unog.ch
