Fresh fighting has broken out on the border between Sudan and South Sudan despite the withdrawal of South Sudanese troops from a disputed oil-rich town seized from Sudanese troops last week.
On Monday, a Sudanese warplane dropped bombs near the South Sudanese border town of Bentiu, killing at least one person, eyewitnesses said.

The latest development comes after South Sudan announced on Friday last week that it was withdrawing its troops from the oil-rich Heglig. Nevertheless, Sudanese government insisted that the withdrawal was forced by an offensive launched by its troops.
