In the midst of SportsAccord 2012, the IOC executive board will decide in Quebec City which cities are approved as the official candidates. The applicants are
Istanbul, Tokyo, Baku, Doha and Madrid.

Candidate cities for 2020 Olympics will know if they are admitted in the press conference following the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), to be held in Quebec (Canada) on 23 May from 18.30, the IOC said Tuesday.
The IOC Executive Board will be held in the Canadian city from 23 to 25 May, coinciding with the SportAccord Congress, where he will meet with the International Federations of Olympic Summer Sports (ASOIF) and winter (AIOWF) and receive reports of preparations for the forth coming Olympic Games.
