RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL | 28 JUNE - 01 JULY 2013

Brazil is hosting the Confederations Cup, a tournament of continental champions which serves as a warm-up for next year’s World Cup.

The final match between Brazil and Spain will be played Sunday at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

The games were overshadowed by demonstrations organized in major cities around the country and more protests are expected at Sunday's final. The protesters say they've lost patience with endemic problems such as corruption and inefficiency.

Globo, Brazil's leading TV network, through its agency NewSource Globo, in cooperation with AP Global Media Services are providing broadcast facilities in Brazil to assist in your Confederations Cup coverage.

The feed point for the final game is located on a roof top across the Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro:

Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - (UERJ)
Rua São Francisco Xavier, 524, Maracanã

Eurovision

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, June 30th-July 1st, 2013

The final match of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 will be played in the famous Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro, recently rebuilt in anticipation of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™. The final game is expected to draw further protests across Brazil with many calling for a nationwide strike on July 1st. Protesters are outraged over the high cost of hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ while little investment is being made in public services.

On June 30th, Eurovision will offer live standup positions outside the Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to enable coverage of the final match of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.

On July 1st, massive protests are expected to take place in Rio de Janeiro and Eurovision will offer live stand-up positions from Copacabana Beach.

Eurovision Special Events will offer the following facilities from outside the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro:

Standup positions from Rio de Janeiro
Playout (XDCAM/ P2, other formats available with members own camera/ player)
Connectivity to the Eurovision Global Network

No FIFA Accreditation is necessary to access the Eurovision Special Events Feedpoint, as it is located outside the official FIFA / HBS exclusive zones reserved only for rights holders.
