Media in Tunisia reported talks were underway in Djerba between top lieutenants of Muammar Gaddafi and rebel representatives, but the insurgents denied any negotiations.

Talks between senior representatives of the Qaddafi government and rebel representatives are being developed on the island of Djerba, although the rebels refuse these conversations.
UN special envoys are in Tunis since Monday to report the talks that are taking place between the opposite sides. Mean while, after six months of fighting, the rebels move towards Tripoli, and Libyan Interior Minister has moved to Egypt, leaving his office in what seems the greatest abandonment of a high-ranking government since months.
