At Least 12 killed in blast in Southern Cyprus base

At least 12 soldiers were killed Monday in an explosion at a naval base in southern Cyprus, the Cyprus state radio said. In addition, 30 others were wounded in the blast at the Evangelos Florakis Naval Base at Zygi, the station said. The blast apparently resulted from munitions on a cargo ship catching fire.
